Hello, My name is Mitch Hodge.  I have been a bodybuilder from the age of three!  I entered my first contest at 18 years old the Teen Mr. Idaho and took 4th.  From there I competed for 15 years, winning Mr. Idaho, Mr. Northwest, Mr. Western USA and many others.  I stood in line with many greats including Flex Wheeler at the Mr. USA.  I love bodybuilding and I am thankful for all of the opportunities that my years competing gave me.  Before bodybuilding I was a kid who loved high school sports and dreamed of being a Pro football player.  I got caught up in the party lifestyle and lost out on football at Boise State from immaturity.  I fell into drugs and drinking and watched my best friend Evan Thompson die in a bar fight, one year later at 21 years old I was stabbed repeatedly and left for dead.

   I woke up in the hospital and remembered how Evan and I had promised we would be the first Co-winners of Mr. Idaho.  I started working out and 24 years later still lift with love.  I still lived hard through my competitive days.  My desire to be the best led me to steroids and a uneven focus in my life.  At 33 I felt I had no hope, my guilt over Evans death and my continuing addiction had taken me to the end of my rope.

I had always believed in God and Jesus.  But I had never understood what that meant.  At the lowest point of my life I discovered just who Christ was.  He was my friend, my Savior and my Lord.  He was waiting for me to ask for His salvation and to live the life He had always dreamed for me.  Giving my life to Christ has cost me almost everything.  All my guilt, all my shame, all my resentment and un forgiveness to others.  It cost me all my excuses to fail and reasons others had caused my problems.  With Christ I have purpose and forgiveness.  I am allowed to make mistakes and I am helped to become a better person.  I have my name written in eternity and I will live with Christ forever.  All this and He leads me to a better life here on this little planet too!  With Christ in my corner and the awesome support of my mom an dad, I entered the 97 and 98 Mr. America totally natural!  I didn't win but I made the finals in 97 and it was the most satisfying contest of my life!

  I joined the Power Team in 2000, a group of Christian Strongmen who do amazing feats of strength and the preach the Gospel!  I have seen thousand upon thousands receive forgiveness and salvation.  I now have an Evangelistic Association called Point blank and do strength ministry, drama, music and preaching!  I still lift and do personal training out of my own gym and love to ride mountain and road bicycles.  I have a nutrition and supplement company for fitness minded called Body Armor Nutrition (www.bodyarmornutrition.com) and love helping people meet their spiritual, emotional and physical goals.  I believe Christ is coming back soon so get ready!  Make Him your Lord and Savior, Ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and we will be friends forever in eternity!  God Bless you until next time!
